The Fourth International Conference of the journal Scuola Democratica is dedicated to analyzing the fundamental relationship between learning and democracy—two essential pillars for building just, inclusive, and sustainable societies.
The theme, “Learning for Democracy / Democracy for Learning,” emphasizes the importance of democratic values, inviting participants to critically rethink and translate them into concrete educational and social practices. In a global context marked by democratic crises, rising inequalities, and rapid digital transformation, the Conference encourages reflection on the role of education in shaping conscious, critical, and actively engaged citizens.
SIpEIA will host the following panel: “M.02. Convivial Pedagogies for the Age of AI: Autonomy, Bias Awareness, and Democratic Non-Homogenization“ This panel examines how non-directive educational traditions offer crucial resources for rethinking democratic education in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
