SIpEIA joined the Italian delegation at the 14th Italy-China Science, Technology, and Innovation Week, the annual event of the bilateral scientific and technological cooperation program promoted by the Italian Ministry of University and Research and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. Organized by the Fondazione Idis-Città della Scienza, the event took place from November 13th to 15th, 2025, in Beijing and Hangzhou.

In particular, our President, Tiziana Catarci, was invited as a keynote speaker for the thematic forum on AI Ethics and Law. In her speech, she highlighted the critical importance of integrating a humanistic perspective and an ethical approach into the design and evaluation of LLMs (Large Language Models). Furthermore, she emphasized the broader need to promote widespread literacy and awareness regarding AI systems and the digital society.

In addition, Luca Tenneriello represented SIpEIA during the One-to-One meetings, providing a valuable opportunity to strengthen dialogue, mutual understanding, and potential collaborations with some of China’s leading research institutions and companies.
